Obituary of Ernest Topan

Peacefully at his residence in Shallow Lake with his daughters by his side Thursday afternoon December 30, 2010. Ernest Topan of Shallow Lake formerly of Guelph in his 76th year. Beloved husband of the former Grace McNab and the late Elizabeth (Betty) Foster. Loved father of Valerie Samuel and her husband Bill of Guelph and Leanne Broeckel and her husband Joe of London. Lovingly remembered by his four grandchildren; David Samuel and Beth Samuel and her partner Jaril Blok, Ryan and Holly Broeckel and his two great-grandsons; Aiden and Rylan. Ernest will be remembered by Grace's family; Karen and her husband Darwin Witty, Neal Miller and his wife Sue all of Jerseyville and grandchildren; Janice and Paul Witty. Dear brother of Angelo Topan of Guelph, Victor Topan and his wife Loredana of Fergus, Robert Topan and his wife Lillian and Rosie Dal Bello and her husband Guido all of Guelph. Predeceased by his son Steven Topan. Friends may call at the Gilbert Macintyre & Son Funeral Home, 252 Dublin Street North, Guelph Wed. January 5th from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. A Memorial Funeral Mass will be celebrated Thursday morning from Holy Rosary Catholic Church at 11:00 am. Interment Marymount Cemetery, Guelph.
