Obituary of Douglas Deakins

Suddenly at Sauble Beach Monday afternoon July 5, 2010. Doug Deakins of Sauble Beach formerly of Wiarton in his 74th year. Beloved husband of Jackie Furlotte-Deakins and the late Mary Robertson. Dear step-father of Diane Engen and her husband John, Leo Furlotte Jr., Perry Furlotte and his wife Debie, Monique Corbett and her husband Bradley and Lise Barnard and her husband Al all of Hamilton. Lovingly remembered by his six step-grandchildren, several nephews and nieces. Dear brother of Marion Williamson and her partner John Cornfield of R.R.#1, Wiarton and Tom Deakins and his wife Linda of Owen Sound. Predeceased by one brother Allan Deakins. Friends may call at the DOWNS AND SON FUNERAL HOME Hepworth Friday evening from 7 to 9 pm. Funeral Mass will be celebrated from Holy Family Catholic Church Sauble Beach Saturday morning at 11:00 am. Interment Bayview Cemetery, Wiarton. Memorial contributions to Zion Keppel United Church, Holy Family Catholic Church, Sauble Beach or the Wiarton Salvation Army would be appreciated as your expression of sympathy.
