Obituary of Willard Arthur Abbs

Peacefully at home with his family by his side Wednesday evening July 14, 2010. Willard Abbs of R.R.#2 Kemble in his 76th year. Loving husband of the former Betty Blythe. Loved father of Carrie Keeling and her husband Alvin of R.R.#2 Shallow Lake and Susan Greig and her husband Blaine of R.R #2 Kemble. Lovingly remembered by his four grandchildren; Sheldon Greig, Lindsay Greig, Aaron Keeling and his wife Miranda and Mikayla Greig and his two great-grandchildren; Austin and Anderson Greig. Dear son of Deborah Baker of Chatsworth. Predeceased by his grandson Andrew Keeling. Willard and Betty operated Ted & Graces Restaurant in Owen Sound for many years. Willard was a Life Member of Burns Lodge No.436 Hepworth, Member of Owen Sound Chapter No. 94 Order of the Eastern Star, numerous Royal Arch Bodies; Barrie Valley Ancient and Accepted Scottish Rite, Order of the Purple Cross (Little Rock Arkansas) and Mocha Shrine Temple, as well as a member of the Owen Sound Legion Branch 6 for 52 years. Friends may call at the DOWNS AND SON FUNERAL HOME Hepworth Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. Funeral Service will be conducted from Shallow Lake United Church Monday morning at 11:00 am with Rev. Jack Tweddle officiating. Interment Boyd Cemetery, Shallow Lake. Memorial contributions to Shallow Lake United Church would be appreciated as your expression of sympathy. Burns Lodge 436 AF and AM will hold a Memorial Service at the Funeral Home Sunday evening at 6:45 pm.
