ZEVENBERGEN, Arie went peacefully to be with his Lord with family by his side at his home Friday morning February 28, 2014. Arie Zevenbergen of Hepworth in his 79th year. Cherished husband of Alice (nee Halbesma) for 57 years. Loving father of Heather and her husband Gary Burrows, Jack and his wife Marlene Zevenbergen, Doug Zevenbergen all of Shallow Lake and Diane and her husband Doug Horne of Guelph and Joane and her husband Bill Klingenberg of Clavering. Dear grandfather of Amy (Doug) McCutcheon, Allison Burrows, Jeremiah Burrows, Jake Zevenbergen, Nicole Zevenbergen, Julia Horne, Andrew Horne, James Klingenberg and Laura Klingenberg and great grandfather of Jaida, Myah, Alex and Arie. Loved brother of Maartje (late John) Wolters, Coby (Bill) Heyns, John (Jenny) Zevenbergen, Audrey (John) Neerhof, Len (Dianne) Zevenbergen, Gerda (Don) Alexander, Vida (Bill) Dove and brother-in-law of Edie (Doug) Hicks and Paul (Mary) Lenahan. Fondly remembered by Alice's family in Winnipeg. Lovingly remembered by many nieces and nephews as well as John and Heidi Vandervorm and their children Mikayla, Marika and Ty of Hepworth and Wayne and Brenda Vanderploeg of Shallow Lake. Predeceased by his parents Arendje (Vlielander) and Jacobus Zevenbergen, brother Martin and sister Jane Lenahan. Friends may call at the DOWNS AND SON FUNERAL HOME, Hepworth Tuesday from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. The funeral service will be conducted from the Zion Amabel United Church, Sauble Beach Wednesday morning at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Harry Zantingh officiating. Spring interment Zion Cemetery. Expressions of remembrance to the Renovation Project at First Christian Reformed Church in Owen Sound, Grey Bruce Regional Health Centre Oncology Department or Owen Sound Hospice would be appreciated.
