Surrounded by family at the Wiarton Hospital Friday morning October 21, 2016. Elmer Bannister of Wiarton in his 81st year. Beloved husband of the late Donna (nee Ridsdale). Loved father of Audrey Reaume and her husband Mark, Andrew, Daryl and his wife Leriza, David and his wife Elaine, Karen Beauchesne and her husband Denis and Pam Bannister and her partner Terri. Loving grandfather of Christopher (Samantha), Melissa (Eric), Richard, Daniel, Lisa (Jon) and Sarah and great grandfather of Mikayla, Lillian, Abbigail, Ahlrik and Grayson. Dear brother of Mary Lennox and her husband Rev. Doug Lennox and brother-in-law of Margaret Smith and Barrie Ridsdale and his wife Beth. Predeceased by parents Beulah (McKnight) and Emerson Bannister. Friends may call at the DOWNS AND SON FUNERAL HOME, Hepworth Monday from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. The funeral service will be conducted from the funeral home Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Gerry Hofstetter officiating. Interment Zion Cemetery.
