Rev. Lynda and your entire family,
We're all thinking about you at this difficult time and are sending our most sincere condolences. It is never easy losing someone you love; but treasure the precious memories shared with him and may they bring you comfort.
We're here for you whenever you need a chat, a cup of tea, an ear to listen, a shoulder to lean on, a hug, or all of the above.
Keeping you in our thoughts and prayers with much love.
God bless.

Dear Dawn and Lynda
What a Loss!! Harold Harmer called me and gave me the bad news.
Then I sat down and recalled many, many happy memories. Just this past summer I brought one of Dawn and Lynda's old teachers to see him in Lion's Head. I was principal at Courtland Sr. School and Tom Smith was the teacher who was in charge of the Students' Council and
organized the Christmas Assembly each year. And each year John Goy played Santa Claus for us. And like everything else he did, he did a wonderful job!
Then I recall PJ's. Groceries, gasoline and good food! It was a must stop when we went to our cottage at Miller Lake.--I recall this wonderful stop each time I pass the old PJ'S sign even to-day. --Then there was the wonderful home they built on Miller Lake road. Lots of memories!
But today I am left with many happy memories of two wonderful people who raised a wonderful family and added positively to the lives of everyone they met.
Sincerely-- with Love and Best Wishes--Morris MacMillan

Although I didn't know any of the family, I always enjoyed seeing John going through the Lion's Head Campground on his way to or from his daughter's place up the hill. I enjoyed talking to him many time throughout the summer and will miss him. I have a trailer on lot 22 in the park. My thoughts and prayers are with you all today and in the coming days as well. Take care of each other during this difficult time.

John Goy:
family, smiling, involved, caring, and man of action.
The energizer bunny had nothing on John.
"Just do it" had to be invented after seeing John in action with his 'go-get-em" attitude.
I'm sure I echo all the shared memories and condolences here, saying that not just his close family, his extended family, and his friends, will miss him – the WORLD will miss John.
John, now you can soar beyond the wheelchair to even greater heights.
Sending my love to Dawn and Barry, Lynda and Gord, and his amazing and cherished grandchildren who keep his legacy alive.
I'm thinking of you with love and hugs,
your cousin,
Tracy

John Goy was my friend, i am a maintence man at Golden Dawn nursing home where he lived, full of life and engaging others and challenging them if needs be, He was fair, forgiving and inspirational, he was an example of a man who would rather change the sails than curse the wind, He was a strong and humble in his Christian faith, and i had the great privilidge to pray with him many times, over the last 3 years.
John made an impression on me of how a good attitude is infectious and has the power to inspire others to do well, i will carry on his example hopfully as well as he did,
Thank You John Richard Goy my friend , till we meet again!
Sincerely randy,

Our deepest sympathy in the loss of your Dad and Grandpa. John loved the Peninsula and his family. His disability didn't slow him down from getting around Lion's Head. He was delighted with the Mobi mat at the beach and I was pleased he was involved with the opening ceremony. RIP John ❤️

Please accept my deepest condolences on the passing of your father. I always admired his determination to get out and about in his motorized chair with that sweet smile on his face and just go. Go around town, down to the fish fry, up Moore Street and of course stopping at your home. I will be thinking of you and your family and hope you can all lean on each other.
My deepest sympathies,

John and Pat were our close neighbours up on Tamarac Island for several years and we shared each others hospitality on many an occasion. Nicer neighbours you could not hope for....
John was a smart man but above all he was a good person, dedicated to and defender of, many causes. His smile often belied his pain, but no matter, his cheerfulness won the day most of the time. If there are debate teams in Heaven, they had better sharpen up. "Roberts Rules" and common sense will be enforced. Fair wind to your sails John, and say us to Pat. You are both assured of our prayers.

Our deepest sympathy to the family of a very special man, John Goy.......We were so saddened to read in our paper the passing of your Dad. We always enjoyed visiting with him every time we were at The Golden Dawn.....loved hearing his many stories whether it be of past experiences, family or just life in general. He was such a comfort to me the night that my Mom(Gladys Lynch) passed away.I will never forget him for that. There is a fellow in our little town of Ayr who rides a scooter, flags and all, and I always think of John fondly every time I see him.We will treasure the last visit that we had with him when we were in Lion's Head for holidays this past summer. Treasure all your precious memories that I know you will have of him. You are and will remain in our thoughts and prayers.
