I am sorry for your loss.
I'm pleased to have known Bob for the breif time that I did. I would always set his place and prepare his music, and keep him up do date with the activities of the Owen Sound City Band.
He was always patient with me as one of the youngest band members, and always a pleasure to work with. He enjoyed the music, even when he couldn't keep up with the playing.
I am so glad to have known and worked with Bob. He, like so many others, was integral in guiding my childhood, since I literally grew up with the city band.
My deepest condolences. He will be greatly missed.

I met Bob while conducting the Owen Sound City Band. He came and played trombone with us. It was fun talking to him. He had some great stories! And we really enjoyed having him play with the band. On behalf of the City Band, I offer our deepest condolences to Bob's family and friends.

Dear Ellen & Peter and Sue & Richard, and your entire family:
I was sad to hear of the passing of Bob. I first met him in 1978 when I graduated law school and needed insurance. Over the years we had many dealings and I have pleasant memories of Bob. He even referred other members of his family to me.
He provided insurance coverage for me right up to the time he stopped working. Come to think of it I don't think I ever had a claim over all of those years!
Due to the long holiday weekend I'm sorry to say that I cannot attend the memorial service on February 18th. However, my thoughts are with you.
I believe that Bob would have been interested to discuss a quotation from one of my favourite authors, Terry Pratchett:
"It is said that life flashes before your eyes just before you pass away. That is true, it's called Life."
My condolences to all of you.

I played trombone alongside Bob many times over the years in the Mississauga area. We both hail from Bruce county so had a special connection. The Hanbidge homestead was just a few km from where I grew up. He informed me if I remember correctly, that he was married in Mt Hope United Church. In fact he said it was the first wedding in the church ( can that be right? ). Mount Hope was our church when I was growing up. So sorry to hear of Bob's passing. A really nice person. Sincerest condolences.
