Obituary of Katharina "Katie" Gerber

GERBER, Katharina 'Katie' peacefully at her residence with family by her side early Wednesday morning August 8, 2018. Katie Gerber (nee Wurtz) of Hepworth in her 82nd year.  Beloved wife of the late Reverend Elmer Gerber (1989).  Cherished mother of Kathryn Gerber and Kevin Gerber both of Hepworth.  Dear grandmother of Nina Gabert (Kevin) of Waterloo and Sam Gabert (Morgan) of Desboro.  Dear sister of David Wurtz and his wife Theresa, Judy Wurtz, Darius Wurtz and his wife Elva, Hanna Wurtz and Dora Wurtz, all of Manitoba.  Predeceased by infant sisters Anna and Miriam.  Family and friends may call at the DOWNS AND SON FUNERAL HOME, Hepworth on Monday from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m.  The funeral service will be conducted from the funeral home on Tuesday morning at 11:00 a.m.  Interment Zion Cemetery.  All are welcome to a time of fellowship at Katie's residence immediately following the interment.  Expressions of remembrance to Our Kids Bruce Grey or Safe 'N Sound Owen Sound would be appreciated.  Messages of condolence may be sent to the family through www.downsandsonfuneralhome.com
