Obituary of Wayne Herman Hummel

HUMMEL, Wayne Herman peacefully in the arms of his loving wife Brenda at home and surrounded by his family Thursday afternoon March 28, 2019.  Wayne Hummel of Shallow Lake in his 49th year.  Beloved husband and best friend of Brenda (nee Heyns).  Cherished father of Jessica (Joseph VanderPloeg), Vanessa (Bryden Thalen) and Brian all at home.  Dear son of Corrine (nee DeVries) and Herman Hummel and son-in-law of Coby (nee Zevenbergen) Heyns.   Brother of JoAnne, Trevor and his wife Tina, Darryl and David.  Brother-in-law of Shirley and Phil Visser, Fred and Helen Heyns, Rob and Brenda Heyns, Linda and Bruce DeBoer and Glenda and Calvin Kapteyn.  Very special uncle to many nieces, nephews and great nieces.  Missed by his dear friends Mike and Deanna Vokes and their family.  Predeceased by cherished father-in-law Bill Heyns.  Family and friends are invited to share memories at the DOWNS AND SON FUNERAL HOME, Hepworth on Sunday from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m.  The funeral service will be conducted from the First Christian Reformed Church, 201 4th Ave. West, Owen Sound on Monday morning at 11:00 a.m.  Pastor Kevin DeRaaf officiating.  Spring interment Zion Cemetery, Hepworth.  Expressions of remembrance to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated.  Messages of condolence may be sent to the family through www.downsandsonfuneralhome.com
