My condolences to Paul's family, especially Georgia and Harriet. I was born in Durham to Rev. Gordon & Anne Hamill. My Dad was the minister of Durham Presbyterian Church. We lived around the corner from Bill & Gertrude and their family. Our parents were good friends. I have a vivid memory of their beautiful home and of Gertrude's charming house that she later moved to. We lived in Durham for 10 years, but we came back to visit and the families kept in touch. My Dad died about 4 years before Bill.
The people and the experiences in Durham helped to shape me. I will always remember the kindness that the Hewitt family always showed to us.

I have many fond memories of Paul , in our younger years. We had a brief time in Toronto where we got together every Thursday night to have a meal together, he with his two friends from out east, and us girls all from Durham and Priceville. We laughed told stories and sang some songs to the two boys from out east. We loved those times and still it brought us all together in friendship and a bond we often talked about when we got together. I will always consider him my friend. I will miss you Paul. Love Joyce macmillan

The Snowbird meetings were just not the same without Paul's renditions of both the Canadian and the American national anthems. He sang both equally with so much gusto you couldn't help but try and sing along with him. Rest In Peace Paul. Edward & Linda Zukonik Snowbirds
