Dear Uncle David lived his life so no one had to tell lies at his funeral! All of you did so well at expressing so many facets of his life! To me, he was a man who had received so much of the love of God into his heart, that he was able to reflect it back & shower it onto those he met. He radiated warmth & acceptance. With the heart of an evangelist, he exemplified the goodness of the Father who runs after us, embraces us & welcomes us to his table. I'm so grateful that Uncle David lavished the great love of the Father on us!
May you all know the comfort & embrace of the Father, Son & Holy Spirit as you grieve & fondly remember.
Love, Helen

Forever indebted to Pastor & Mrs. Clarke for their faithfulness to the Lord. A couple that not only boldly proclaimed the Gospel of Jesus Christ but also taught the stirred others to do the same. Spiritual father & mother to so many, me in particular. True ambassadors of our Lord. They have a part in Clinton’s and my calling to the North. They are also examples that you do not go home until your appointed day. May God bless, encourage & comfort your family.

To the Clarke family,
I wasn’t very old when you were here in Huntsville, but I remember you well.
A home going is both a time of sadness and a time for peace.if only we could hear the rejoicing when a soul comes home. May our God of love keep you close during this time of grieving.

Dear cousins,
We join with you in spirit as you mourn your loss of your dear father. As I’m sure you know, he had a way of making each of us really think we were his favourite, despite hearing him address others in the same way!
I didn’t hear him preach that often, but I vividly recall his exposition of “Enoch walked with God” when he was once a guest speaker in Woodstock and I was visiting. He opened up scripture in a way I hadn’t experienced. The content is lost in the fog of memory, but the feeling of being stirred to follow the Lord & walk with Him all my days, has not.
Although we grieve, we confidently anticipate the continuation of our journeys in the presence of the Lord. The “Lost Heir” is safely home.
Remembering that David means Beloved, Song of Songs 6:1-3 seems fitting, ending with "I am my beloved’s and He is mine."
.
lovingly,
"Favourite niece"

A donation to the "El Redil Sur" church plant in Caldas, Medellin Valley, Columbia, S.A. has been made by the Eby and Jordan families in memory of their Brother and Uncle, Pastor David Clarke.
David loved Missions. Caldas is a poorer city with many single moms, drug gangs and bars. Cesar Gomez is the pastor and in January 2021 they began to meet again on Sundays. They have had a great response to the gospel and are now looking for a new locations because of their growing numbers. Rick and Barb Eby are involved with this mission.
We felt David would love that this mission is reaching so many people who really need Jesus.
David has been a great brother to Beth, Norma and Jerry and all our children
What a Home Coming David has had. He is reunited with our sister, Peggy.
Until we meet again....

Pastor Clarke loved God! He loved the church in Hepworth. It was a big part of his life. He was always very encouraging to the pastors that followed after him there!
He was a great pastor to my grandparents and my parents and to us.
He called us a couple of months ago to talk and catch up. He supported our son Dan as a missionary and had just received a card from him.
He left a great legacy of loving his saviour and wanting to share that! He was very influential in our lives.
He will be missed but not forgotten!

Elizabeth, Margaret & Rev. Daniel, Lois & Dave, Dr.David & Kathy, Gwen & Dr.Dave and Anne & Lawrence, Grandchildren and great Grandchildren. Our heartfelt sympathy in the passing of your Dad & grandfather. Pastor David was without a doubt one of my favorite Minister. We always had a close relationship working together over those many years as he did with my father. In fact when my father was dying he would come to visit with him every day, I will never forget that. He called me 3 or 4 times this past year hoping we could get together for coffee at Tim's and we both thought because of Covid that we would be able to do so by summer. The wonderful memory I have of your Dad is where ever he was your Mom Peg was there as well, she was always at his side supporting him.How sad it is that because of the times we are living in, we cannot pay our final respects. But be assured that our thoughts & Prayers are with you all at this sad time in your lives. How ironic it is that your Dad and my father died on the same month and day in the morning April 8,1986 35 years ago. Not many people will be greeted with these words as they enter Heaven but I can assure you that your Mom and Dad most certainly will. Well done Good and Faithful Servant, Well Done. Again our deepest sympathy to you all.

We first met David back in 1987 when he was pastoring Hepworth Baptist Church. Then I was the new pastor in the association at Evangelical Baptist Church in Owen Sound. I always appreciated his fervent spirit in the service of our loving Saviour.

I am very grateful for the years I sat under his bible teaching and guidance when my children were young.

Our deepest condolences to the Clarke family. Pastor Clarke was such a blessing to our family while attending Hepworth Baptist. Katie, our daughter, when very young, referred to her Pastor as ‘ The Boss ‘. He had a good laugh over that.
We were truly delighted to reconnect with him while he attended South End Baptist. It brings a smile to our faces to picture Pastor David and Peg together once again, face to face with their Saviour.
Our thoughts and prayers are with you as you mourn your great loss,
