Family of Jeanne - it was with great sadness to hear of Jeanne's passing. It was so nice to see her at Church in Sauble Beach, but a great memory for us, will always be her cheerful voice on the phone, reminding us of coffee duty for some particular Sunday after Services. A lovely, personable lady - she will be missed by many - sincere condolences to her family - Lloyd & Jo-Ann Sheridan (Sauble Beach United Church)

Dear Walker families, Tim and I have known Jeanne for 16 years as we own a cottage on Lonely Island. Right from the beginning Jeanne greeted us with her warm and welcoming smile. The Thursday before she passed I walked around the island with her twice and enjoyed her sense of humour, her stories about family and she always asked me about my family. She lived her life with grace, dignity and independence. Lonely Island residents will certainly miss her presence and her enduring smile. Our condolences to all of you.

Dear Cathy, Ross, Cam and family,
We were saddened to hear of the sudden passing of your mother. She was a great example of aging with style and good humour. She was so active, independent and healthy. I know of few people who lived alone in their own home right up to the end of their lives.
She was such a great friend to my Mother for over 85 years! Mom will truly miss her friendship. Jeanne and George played gracious hosts to my parents so often over the years. They had very good times together and those times are strong and happy memories for my Mom. I also will have good memories of your mother and father at their cottage home, and my own family truly enjoyed our visit with Jeanne last summer.
I know she will be dearly missed by her family and her friends. My sincerest condolences to you all.
Martin Glebe and Connie Glebe

We are so heartbroken with Jeanne's passing. We played cards with her every week and just the previous Friday she was here with absolutely nothing wrong and we had such a good times, as usual. On Saturday we took her the papers to get her new license sticker and again had a nice visit. We were absolutely shocked to hear what happened to her on Monday. She was a good friend and we will never forget her humorous quips and jokes. Such a lovely lady and will will miss her greatly. On the brighter side, she told us many times that she was "ready to go at her age" and wanted no muss or fuss. She was lucky to have been able to stay in her beloved home to the end and drive where she wanted to go and do what she wanted to do. She truly did it "her way". We will always miss our good friend Jeanne. Don & June Dougall

Dear Walker/Solomon family,
I was very sad to hear about Jeannie's passing.
She was an excellent example of how old people can be with so much energy and vigour and she was always friendly and seemed very happy.
I knew her all my life and only have good memories of her. She and my mother had remained good friends since early childhood, which is a rarity these days. Please accept our condolences,
Barry, Richard, and Connie Glebe

Cathy, Ross and Cam, and your families; we are so sorry for the sudden passing of your incredible mom. Al had just been chatting with her the day before when he encountered her out on her brisk, daily walk around Lonely Island. She and your dad were long time friends of my parents, Paul and Maxine Kastner, as Lonely Island cottagers who then retired to their little slices of heaven. Since living here ourselves now for 4 years, we have seen Jeanne regularly as she was always out and about. She was an inspiration to us all. We will miss her. Pam and Al Crawford
