Obituary of Dr. Alex Klym

KLYM, Dr. Alex DDS, HSC peacefully at Owen Sound Hospital on Thursday, May 12, 2022.  Alex Klym of Owen Sound in his 65th year.  Loving father of AJ and dear brother of Georgia Klym-Skeates (Wayne Pre), Jennie Klym-Brown (Rodney), William Klym (Jan), Christopher Klym (Nordianah) and Joseph Klym (Laura).  Missed by many nieces, nephews, friends and colleagues.  Predeceased by parents Anastasia (nee Ferentinou) and Michael Klym.

Dentistry was a large part of Dr. Alex's life as evidenced by his successful practise of 32 years and the countless hours of dental volunteer work.  To attempt to list everything he was involved in outside his dental practise is near to impossible.  To name a few were umpiring baseball, coaching curling and he was a strong supporter of the Owen Sound Attack.  Alex was also a very devoted Christian and was extremely active in the Alliance Church community.  He participated in mission trips to Guatamala and Israel.  He very much enjoyed his hobby farm as well as photography, music and travel.  His unique sense of humour will be missed by many.

Family and friends are invited to the Alliance Church, 440 7th Ave. East, Owen Sound on Thursday, May 19, 2022 from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m.  The funeral service will be conducted at  the Church on Friday at 11:00 a.m.  All those attending are encouraged to wear a mask.

There will be a private family interment at Evergreen Memorial Park Cemetery, Leamington.  Arrangements entrusted to the DOWNS AND SON FUNERAL HOME, Hepworth.  In lieu of flowers, expressions of remembrance to the Alliance Church or the Owen Sound Hospital Foundation would be appreciated.  Messages of condolence may be sent to the family through www.downsandsonfuneralhome.com
