Uncle Jim what can I say, I am very saddened and cannot believe you are no longer here. You were a kind hearted and generous individual ready to help anyone in need. I could never express how much appreciation is felt for the way you were so good to my mother and I know she is missing you already as she has been reminiscing and talking about the visits made by you and Aunt Olive including the ones that included the long August weekend when the Carswell Family Reunion took place. When I pass by a KFC I will think of you because you would take a bucket of chicken every year to the family reunion and the only argument I remember you had with Aunt Olive was the time that you caused both of you to be late to the reunion because you had a hard time finding the KFC in Peterborough. You had a zest for life and you are going to be sorrily missed by those who know and love you. You and Aunt Olive also demonstrated what a loving marriage and relationship should be. You are now with Aunt Olive and resting in peace after a life well lived.
Larry, Paul, Patsy, Debbie and Jeff, cherish the wonderful memories of your time with your dad. He has left behind a wonderful legacy in each of you and his grandchildren and great grandchildren. While we cannot be there please know that my mother Eleanor and I are thinking of you. When I told my grown children of Uncle Jim's passing, their first remembrance of him was that he was a very nice man.
