Vanheek, Dirk peacefully at Cambridge Memorial Hospital on Saturday, August 6, 2022. Dirk Vanheek of Cambridge and formerly of Toronto in his 100th year. Beloved husband of the late Florence (nee Smith). Father of Ronald (Annemie) of Belgium and grandfather of David and Robert. Dear brother of Paul (Friedie) of Holland. Missed by several nieces and nephews. Dirk loved his weekly chess matches with his nephew Don. Predeceased by parents Pauline (nee Michaelis) and Dirk Vanheek, brother Herbert, sister Ineke Wolsink, brother-in- law Allen Smith and sisters-in-law Margaret Shouldice and Edna Smith.
