Sincere, heartfelt sympathy to all of Dorothy's family. Not knowing of Dorothy's passing, I must have felt her loss, in my heart, as I had been thinking and talking about her recently, of the many times I spent with Dale, at the Shouldice family home, when Dale and I were teenagers. I had no idea, Dorothy had passed, until my brother Wayne informed me just yesterday. At least once/week, during 8th grade, as well as weekend and summer excursions to the cottage at Sauble Beach, I would spend overnight with Dale's family. Dorothy was like a second Mother to me, those years, as she was so very kind, nurturing and extremely loveable. What a grand and beautiful lady (inside and out), with a heart of gold. In living over a century, I am sure Dorothy touched so many lives with her love, as she did mine. Though, only for a few short years, as a teenage, it was a true blessing to have such wonderful memories of Dorothy. Her life was long and well lived. Much love to her family. My thoughts and prayers are with you always.
God Bless.
Verna (Carson) Hindle

My sincere condolences are extended to all the family at the loss of your mom, grandmother, and great grand mother. What a legacy your mom leaves behind. Always a cheerful outlook on life. When it was pouring rain she would talk about how wonderful it was for the garden and grass. Always willing to give advise on all her healthy remedies for living. I had the opportunity a few times this past year to visit with her at the nursing home. She couldn’t believe how much I knew about the family. I’m sure she didn’t remember exactly who I was. It was fun to chat with her. May you all find comfort and blessings in knowing she has truly gone on to a better place. Reunited once again with her soul mate Bev
