Obituary of Donna Blakelock

BLAKELOCK, Donna Mary Frances peacefully at Gateway Haven Nursing Home, Wiarton on Saturday morning February 4, 2023. Donna Blakelock (nee Simmens) of Wiarton and formerly of Red Bay in her 76th year. Beloved wife of the late Thomas Blakelock (1998). Predeceased by her parents Lillian (nee Webster) and Donald Simmens. Dear sister of Bill (Lorna-Jane deceased) of Englehart, Robert (deceased), Pat (Valerie) of North Bay and Clifford (Maggie deceased) of Haileybury. Dear sister-in-law of Mary Blakelock of Toronto and Ronnie Blakelock (deceased). Loving Aunt of Jackie, John, Ronda (deceased) Dan, Rikki, Peter, David and Michael. She was a Great Aunt of many nieces and nephews. Special friend of Kenny Marchand and Bob & Monica Martin.

Donna spent many years working at Howell's Fish Shack in Sauble Beach where she came to know many friends and acquaintances. Her love of life and joy in getting to know others was always very evident. She and Tommy enjoyed visiting family and friends, as well as their special vacations to Niagara Falls as often as they could.

Donna was a member of the Catholic Women's League and an associate member of the Royal Canadian Legion for many years.

The funeral service will be conducted at the DOWNS AND SON FUNERAL HOME, Hepworth on Friday, February 10, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. with visitation 1 hour prior to the service.
