Obituary of Harry Horsnell

HORSNELL, Harry Charles peacefully at Grey Bruce Health Services, Southampton early Tuesday morning May 9, 2023. Harry Horsnell of Port Elgin in his 90th year. Beloved husband of the late Anne Horsnell (2017). He will be loved and dearly missed by his children Pat Paron of Brampton, Doug Campone (Bettina) of California, Joan Twohig (John) of Mississauga and Barbara Camponi of Calgary, Alberta. Loving grandfather of Barbara, Matthew (Nancy), Becky, Kathleen, Amy, Andrew (Genny), Caleb and Lowell and great-grandfather of Amber, Alexander, Johnathan, Morgan and Seth. Missed by nephew Kevin and nieces Linda and Laura. He will be fondly remembered by the Jack family. Predeceased by parents Lillian (nee Fawcett) and Harry Horsnell and sisters Gladys and Doreen.

Harry was an active member of the Seventh Day Adventist. He was a dedicated employee for many years at the Saugeen Shores Police Department. He was also a Military Gunner Veteran and an active member of the Legion.

The funeral service will be conducted at the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 340, 630 Green Street, Port Elgin on Tuesday, May 16th at 2:30 p.m. with visitation from 2:00 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. Arrangements entrusted to the DOWNS AND SON FUNERAL HOME, Hepworth. Interment Sanctuary Park Cemetery, Port Elgin. Expressions of remembrance to the Saugeen Memorial Hospital Foundation or the Grey Bruce Animal Shelter would be appreciated.
