Ken was our minister but also an mportant friend to our family. Ken was a positive role model who guided us through many hills and valleys . Ken enjoyed his retirement to the fullest and always had time for his friends. Our memories will remain of a man committed to his faith with each passing moment that he had on this earth. Rest in peace Ken

We have fond memories of Rev Ken and Helen's time spent at First Westminster United Church in London. He was a down to earth man and being raised on a farm himself, fit right in with the rural and subdivision folks! He was part of the cursillo movement of which we were privileged to have been able to experience. He lived his faith. We have been blessed to be able to keep in touch over the past 40 plus years. I treasure one of his woven scarves.
He will be happy to be reunited with his wonderful Helen.
Condolences to David, Jon and families

David, John & Families. My sympathies to you all as navigate the loss of this “young man”. Over the years you have all accepted and supported us as we joined Ken on this part of his journey. He shared many stories of his family, his faith, his love of knitting and pride in his weaving. His strong character and personal convictions kept us on our toes and I feel a silence and a loss in these days since his passing. Take care of each other and treasure your memories. Please know that after your visits and phone calls he expressed his great love and pride. With fond memories, Barb

I am sorry to read about the passing of your father. Rev Ken was our minister at First Westminster United Church in London. He always had such a beautiful smile and made everyone feel so welcome and so special. He joined my husband and I in marriage in
October 1977. One thing which stands out in my mind also was his excellent penmanship.
May your special times shared together help you during this difficult time. My sincere condolences to each of you.

Family of Ken Welch - Ken attended Zion United Church (Sauble Beach United) and what a breath of fresh air he was. Always with a big smile and a hello to everyone, never complaining and always willing to help. I remember the first time he wanted to participate in our Christmas Bazaar 2010 - that year the theme was Angel Bazaar and he wanted to have a table selling his beautiful woven runners and several years after that donated some of these runners as well. Ken will indeed be missed by so many people and he would love to hear all these memories as they bring people closer together as we share those memories.. Memories are what helps at this sad time and they will be with you forever - keep them close. Sincere condolences from Jo-Ann and Lloyd Sheridan, Sauble Beach

Rev. Ken was our minister at St. Andrew's and First Westminster United Church from 1975-1980.
I was a young child when Rev. Ken was our minister, but from my memory, he was always such a friendly, smiley, and down to earth human being, who always seemed engaged in any conversation he might be having. I believe it was when he moved to the Wiarton area that he became interested in weaving. A number of years ago, Rev. Ken was asked to come back to speak for one of our Anniversary services at St. Andrew's Westminster. If I remember correctly, he spoke about his love of weaving and connected it with God's tapestry. He then gifted our church with a beautiful woven runner, which still graces our communion table at the front of the church to this day. I remember him as a remarkable man.

Dave Jon and family your father was a very special person! I remember one day I was tired when I was heading into Wiarton to make my deliveries so I pulled over to have a short nap. Well I guess shortly after I pulled over Rev Ken went by on his way to the church at Clavering , when he was returning to Wiarton he noticed that I hadn’t moved so he stopped to check on me! He came up beside the driver’s door and rapped on the window!!! Which startled me and I jumped up! Upon realizing who it was we both had a chuckle!

We are so sorry to hear about Ken. He was the nicest person, along with his wife Helen. I saw him at Gateway and talked to him. When I used to work at Pizza Delight, he used to come in just to chat. We had a lot of fun on our little visits and I learned a lot from him. (I just hope I didn't bore him to pieces). He always made people feel that they were important to him and was always so happy and full of cheer. The greatest man. Please accept our sympathy at this sad time. We loved him to bits.
